HERBS CHOPPER
USING A SPHERICAL INTUITIVE MOTION
2015
A herbs chopper, operated by a circular motion, engineered to suit the user’s palm and wrist, which creates a new and more comfortable chopping experience. The chopper has six blades for easy and quick cutting and it allows the user to operate with only one hand at a time, thus reduces the chance of injury while cooking.
This product is the result of my observation of hand movements while working in the kitchen, and a desire to create a better cooking experience. During the design process, I experimented with different cutting forms in order to improve the chopping action. I chose to use multiple blades in different configurations so that I can achieve the most convenient and suitable result.
